Add a Co-Host to the InSpace Session

Modified on Fri, 12 Aug 2022 at 04:57 PM

After you create a space, you can assign co-hosts who will have the same permissions as a host.

Co-hosts share permissions with the host, such as recording, starting and ending sessions, and creating breakout rooms. You can add as many co-hosts as you would like to your space. You can add co-hosts to your space either from your InSpace dashboard, or while you are logged into a meeting space.

Adding Co-Hosts from the InSpace dashboard

Once you create a space from your dashboard you will have the option to add other people as co-hosts.

To add a co-host to a new space, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your InSpace dashboard
  2. Click “Create Space”
  3. Type the name of your new space and select the space type and access permissions.
  4. Under “co-hosting” type the email address of the person you are inviting to co-host.
  5. Click “Create”. An email with the space link will be sent to the person you invited to co-host.

To add a co-host to an existing space, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your InSpace dashboard
  2. Locate the space where you wish to add your co-host.
  3. Click the 3 vertical dots to the right of the space title
  4. Click “Edit”
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Under “co-hosting” type the email address of the person you are inviting to co-host.
  6. Click “Create”. An email with the space link will be sent to the person you invited to co-host.

After your co-hosted spaces have been created, they will be listed on the left side of your InSpace dashboard. Note: You will only be able to add the emails of those from your own organization if your InSpace account is set up using an organization email. If you are using a Google, or Yahoo email account you will be able to assign co-hosting using any valid email address.

How to add a Co-Host while logged into a meeting

  1. Log in to your InSpace dashboard and click to start a session
  2. Open the “attendee list” by clicking the attendee icon in the lower right corner of your screen
  3.  Click on the 3 horizontal lines to the right of the name of the participant whom you would like to make a co-host.
  4. Choose “Make a co-host” from the dropdown menu. The participant will receive a notification that you have made them a co-host of the space.
